Set along the south shore of beautiful Lake Tahoe, Edgewood Tahoe is in arguably one of the most scenic golf courses in the world. Designed by George Fazio and opening in 1968, Edgewood is rated by Golf Digest Magazine as one of "America's Top Golf Courses".

Despite Edgewood's relative youth, the golf course has played host to a variety of major golf events. In 1980, the U.S.G.A. would host an event in the state of Nevada for the first time. The 55th annual US Public Links Championship came to Lake Tahoe with Jodie Mudd, a junior at Georgia southern College coming out on top.
