Lake Tahoe Humane Society and S.P.C.A. has been serving visitors, both national and international, and the Greater Lake Tahoe Basin for over 40 years. During this time, they've developed a number of community programs, including senior visitation and helping to maintain family pets; Pet of the Week and other features; Prevent-A-Litter spay-neuter subsidy; emergency veterinary assistance and pet food bank; teacher and student support to nurture kindness and compassion; mutual and disaster aid, animal rescue networking; problem solving for domestic animals and wildlife; advocacy for animal welfare; and nonviolence and cruelty prevention.
