The Humane Society of Truckee-Tahoe is a non-profit 501(c)3 corporation dedicated to saving and improving the lives of pets through adoptions, community spay/neuter services and humane education programs. The Humane Society of Truckee-Tahoe places every single adoptable animal they receive into permanent loving homes.
With a very small staff, many of the programs of The Humane Society of Truckee-Tahoe exist thanks to volunteers who dedicate time and energy to making our Humane Society a place where animals feel safe, loved and eventually find their forever homes.

| The Humane Society of Truckee-Tahoe's biggest fundraising goal is to build a joined animal shelter with the Town of Truckee Animal Control to accommodate the needs of this growing community and provide our homeless pets with the kind of facility they need and deserve while they await their adoptive families. |
