Tahoe Arts Project is a bi-state non-profit corporation established in 1987 which produces a multi-disciplinary performing arts series for the community and a model artists-in-residence program for the region's 7,000 students. Building audiences of the future, appreciation of our multi-cultural world and of the beauty of art in all its forms are the focus of TAP's efforts.

TAP's lecture-demonstrations, performances, master classes and workshops provide quality experiences in the arts which foster creativity, problem-solving skills, self-discipline, and help build self-esteem. Additionally, these exciting arts programs stimulate and strengthen understanding and ability in all areas of education. Artists brought to the Tahoe region by TAP include Chanticleer, Gary Karr, Sukay, Los Angeles Guitar Quartet, Jim Gamble Marionettes, Theatreworks, San Jose Taiko, Festival of Strings and Seattle Mime Theatre.
